Does any one know the scheduled replacement mileage for the timing belt on a 2003 New beetle, 2.0L non turbo?  Automatic if that makes any difference.  Pushing over 80,000 and not sure when it is supposed to be replaced. I may be riding on borrowed time. Please help.  Thanks.

It's a major repair requiring the motor to be pulled out correct?

I don't think so. I did my 1.8t gti in 6 hrs.
A bug could be a bit more trouble with the bay being smaller.

Might as well replace the water pump at the same time, it's right there.
